Before and during

A sump pump failure during any type of storm can be costly. During a recent flash flooding incident, it more than proved its point. The rain water proved to be too much for the sump pump and this finished basement filled with water. All homeowners should contact their insurance and be certain to add sump pump and sewer back up to their policies to protect themselves in times like these. Some insurance companies will cover it, but a lot of customers end up having to pay out of pocket. In the first picture, we can see wet footprints near the stairs, as the water is seeping from underneath the carpet. The second, shows the carpet torn out of the house so the drying process can complete.
