Daytime rains

When the ground is beyond saturated, any amount of rainfall can cause problems. As is the case here in the North East portion of the country. We're so done with winter and snow and rain; we want Spring! Recently, we just had another rainfall that caused some flash flooding. Roads being closed and traffic sitting for hours on end on local highways. These pictures show how water got into this families finished basement. In the first pic, we see a tote full of toys that is completely saturated from the bottom up with water. In the second, we see where we've cut away the drywall and the 2x4's are still soaked. We've put the air movers right next to them.
